I am always fascinated when it comes to communicating with parents. Parenting is our gift, even though it doesn't always manifest as such. We always hear about needing something from the outside to help us fix our kids such as therapies, medication, after school programs, sports. All this, to keep them busy and out of trouble. What if we could be able to get out of our own way and be the Presence that they need to grow in a loving way?
Do you remember when you were young when you thought or mentioned that you would never do "that" to your kids or act in the same way as your parents did? Has it happened that you catch yourself doing exactly what you promised you would never do or say? This is because of our conditioned responses. We are conditioned to act with our kids in the same way we learned from our parents and the environment. It is as if we are invisibly wired, and no matter how hard we try, we keep ourselves stuck and hearing our parent's voices through our own. We can sometimes feel totally lost about what to do. This is because we don't really act from "knowing." We tend just to modify our conditioned responses from our intellect and what we find at the end is even more frustration.

In this program, you will learn Five Principles of Great Communication to strengthen the bonding between you and your kids.
Kids need parents not friends… as they grow, rules change. Kids gain responsibility and parents gain trust. You can find a lot about what your child is doing by talking about things that have already happened instead of asking what they are doing now.
The need to control them is like an addiction… a great parenting question is to ask yourself what will happen when you can no longer control them?. Will they have the necessary experience to control their own lives?
To put our kids in control of their own lives comes from letting them know what to do and why they should do it… We as parents can best use our ability to be Present to teach them, not to command them.
