During 2009 we have been busy setting a new direction for Great Life Technologies so we haven't offered many seminars this year. And people have been asking when we will be. Heal the Invisible Wounds of War!
The vets who we are working with love the name we have chosen for our new program. Heal the Invisible Wounds of War! is a series of approximately fifteen Human Software Engineering sessions that are specifically designed to resolve PTSD. Although we are initially starting with veterans and their families, this program will be expanded to include anyone with PTSD including victims of violent crimes, natural disasters, rape as well as policemen, firemen, rescue workers, etc.
As mentioned in the previous newsletter, if you had been planning on coming to the Core Dynamics Coach Training in September, do not make flight reservations, as we decided to make a change. Because we have a new program for helping veterans with PTSD to resolve it quickly and easily, and because we can sense that this is going to take off like a rocket ship, we decided to move the Core Dynamics Coach Training to November and modify it to include training on how to Vaporize PTSD.
Additionally, we are renaming Core Dynamics Coach Training to Human Software Engineer Training. This special version of the training will include learning and mastering all of the skills that have been included in the Core Dynamics Coach Training program, but the live event will be 8 days instead of just 4. And during this program we will be working in person with veterans with PTSD. You'll not only see how it is done, but you'll also work with veterans yourself during the training.
This training is not just for veterans even though that is a major focus. Taking this training will teach you to do Core Dynamics Coaching at a whole new level. You'll learn how to deal with some of the seemingly most difficult and challenging problems that people can have.
New Career Opportunities
The training will prepare you to be hired by GLT to work with us in helping to resolve this huge and urgent problem of PTSD, which is affecting our returning and already returned veterans. That includes not just those from Iraq and Afghanistan, but also from Vietnam, the Gulf War, and all other wars from which we still have veterans. This work with be challenging, fulfilling and lucrative.
After we get the vet program established, we'll be expanding it to include everyone else suffering from PTSD. One of the great things about this program is that the funding for these sessions will be coming from donations, corporate sponsorships, and grants that will be made to a non-profit organization. We are finalizing the details of our agreement with a special non-profit organization that serves veterans and their families. Funds that are donated to this organization will be "donor directed" and will only be used to fund these sessions and the training of veterans who also want to learn how to do this work to help their fellow vets.
Of course we cannot guarantee that taking the training will lead to employment with GLT, but we do anticipate having a very high demand for people qualified to do this work. The plan is to not only help the vets in the USA, but also those in all of the allied countries that have been sending soldiers to Iraq and Afganistan. In fact, as the program gains momentum, we can make it available for all cases of PTSD worldwide. What an incredible opportunity to contribute to returning peace to all of these people's lives! We have a highly effective solution to this urgent and long standing problem and it's our responsibility to make it available on as large a scale as possible.
Whether you end up working for GLT or not, taking this training will prepare you for starting your own Core Dynamics Coaching / Human Software Engineering practice. And with the special extended part of the training you'll be able to help people in your local area who suffer from PTSD, how ever it may have been caused. Coaches who have learned the Core Dynamics Coaching / Human Software Engineering protocol and the Pure Awareness Techniques have typically dropped other methods they have been using, and primarily use the HSE protocols as they are so dramatically fast, effective and thorough for creating positive transformation in people's lives.
Michael Stratford will teach this program with me and we will have many of the new Train-the-Trainer Program graduates participating and helping as well.
Research and Documentation to Substantiate Our Results
Our plan is to take about 200 vets through the Heal the Invisible Wounds of War! program over the next couple of months. As a part of this, each vet will take a short on-line questionnaire before they begin the program, when they complete their sessions, as well as one month and three months after completion. This on-line questionnaire is being developed by Dr. Michael Telch, founder and director of the Laboratory for the Study of Anxiety Disorders at the University of Texas - Austin. Dr. Telch has been studying anxiety disorders for more than 25 years and is internationally recognized as a leading authority of anxiety research. He is also an expert on PTSD research and is currently involved in a large study for the military that is examining PTSD susceptibility factors. Our survey will confirm the diagnosis of PTSD and will quantify PTSD symptom levels so that we can compare the before, after, and sustainability of our results.
We will be focusing initially on a group of the first 25 vets to go through the Heal the Invisible Wounds of War! program and are planning on having them through the program and evaluated within the next few months.
In addition to the on-line survey, we will be taking brainwave measurements using sophisticated EEG technology called QEEG. The equipment and expertise will be provided by a clinic that is here in Carlsbad, CA. The local PhD, who is an expert in the use of the QEEG equipment and in the interpretation of the results, is already highly experienced in working with veterans with PTSD, and the suppressed and over-activated brainwaves patterns associated with PTSD are already well established. We have made an arrangement to measure this brainwave information before and after our taking our vets through the Heal the Invisible Wounds of War! program so that we can measure the effectiveness of returning the brainwaves to their normal values. This will provide a wonderful objective correlation to the changes documented with the on-line self-assessments.
The third way that we'll be documenting our results is that we'll be making a video documentary of both the Heal the Invisible Wounds of War! sessions as well as the Vaporize your PTSD - Vets Helping Vets training program in November. This video will be professionally produced by One Productions, the superb video production company we are using, locally based here in Encinitas. The founders, Richard and Sally Crawford, have just returned from shooting video footage about the research study on reducing anxiety using the Pure Awareness Techniques that is currently underway in Austin under the direction of Dr. Telch. We are planning on having documentary films on the anxiety study, the Heal the Invisible Wounds of War! program, and the Vaporize your PTSD - Vets Helping Vets training.

A few weeks ago we had a vet in the office just to have a discussion with him about some of his buddies and their experiences with PTSD. He didn't have PTSD, but he did have some war trauma. He was in a compound that came under mortar attack and he would have to take cover. He was still holding the energy of this trauma in his body. When he was out at Camp Pendleton and practice artillery rounds were being fired, he would get an adrenalin rush and lose focus. This video clip is a superb example of the CORE Technique:

Come to the November training - Vaporize Your PTSD - Vets Helping Vets - here are the training program details as we have them so far. The training starts with a special 8 day version of training in Human Software Engineering. This includes everything that has previous been in our Core Dynamics Coach Training program with some changes to the language as we are now referring to this as Human Software Engineer Training instead of Core Dynamics Coach Training.
Location - Carlsbad, CA (we are still working on the venue, as we are anticipating that this training could be as large as 200 participants)
Dates - November 15-22, 2009
Times - Each day will be from 9:00 am until approximately 6 pm. The ending time will be somewhat changeable so don't plan on scheduling anything immediately afterward as we may go longer on some days.

That was our normal fee for the previous Core Dynamics Coach Training with the 4 day live event. Any one who is interested in learning to be a Core Dynamics Coach / Human Software Engineer can take this training. The extra four days of the training,, that include additional details of the specifics of working with PTSD clients is included but not mandatory. For those of you who are just interested in regular coach training, it is highly recommended as you will learn how to resolve deep traumatic issues that are often present even in so called "normal" clients. Make a Donation - We are in discussions with a non-profit organization who has offered to process "donor directed funds" on our behalf. This is a much quicker way to put this process in place than for us to set up our own non-profit organization. We really like the people and we feel that it will be an excellent synergy between our organizations for helping the veterans.
You can help transform a veteran suffering from PTSD, someone who is dysfunctional and dependent on disability, who is highly likely to be a burden on society, become a criminal, be homeless, lose a marriage and/or family, or commit suicide. I was amazed to hear that more vets who served in Vietnam have died from suicide than were killed during that war. Returning any PTSD vet to a normal, healthy contributor to our society is not only good for the vet but good for everyone!
Please give generously as this is the only way that this program is being funded. The mechanisms for being able to make donations will be set up shortly and we'll send out a special email about that as soon as it is ready.
Suggest related non-profit organizations - If you know of a non-profit organization that serves either veterans or people with other types of PTSD such as rape victims, victims of violent crimes, or any of the other versions of PTSD, please let us know. We are interested in forming alliances with many such organizations so that we can take in donor directed funds to help people in all of these categories.
