3-Minute Coaching Tip I think of my mind as a Television - 500+ channels, each one competing for my undivided attention. This mind of mine even has commercials that sell me more happiness, more riches, more of everything (but only if I do as it says). A key difference between my mind and the TV is that I act like a victim of my mind. I don't act like a victim of the TV. When I don't want to watch TV, I either tune it out or turn it off. Coaching Tip: The trick is to not identify with your thinking. Remind yourself that whatever you are thinking is not you. Your thinking is just an endless loop of the same old material. Something like watching the "I Love Lucy Show." You can step back to watch your thoughts as if you were watching TV. When you do this, notice who is the watcher. Then drop your attention into the experience of the watcher. When you do this you will experience the YOU that exists separate from your thoughts. Now you can turn off the TV :-)
