The Five Steps of Manifestation
- Clarify your intention.
- Make sure that it is unencumbered by conditioned responses.
- Begin to take action in the direction of your intention.
- Properly manage thoughts that are contrary to your intention.
- Allow the Universe to organize the details.
Clarify your intention Create a gratitude list. Make your statements positive. Construct them in the present tense and in the first person as if they already exist. Make your statements clear and concise. Include detail without limiting the universe as to how and when the fulfillment of your intentions will show up.
Read your list regularly. Morning and evening is a good routine. The laws of nature are very lively in the Gap between Thoughts, so try accessing pure awareness before reading your list and give the you that is Universality the opportunity do the reading. When you let the totality of your being read the list, there’s a real power in that. This allows for a powerful resonance with your intention from the deepest part of you.
Remember that your lists are dynamic. They evolve over time and will evolve as your intentions manifest. Life will evolve and it’s appropriate to have your list evolve too.
Make sure that it is unencumbered by conditioned responses
Once you have clarified your intentions and begun enlivening them with your awareness while reading them, notice where you may be pressing up against discomforts. Fear is a common response. Often our intentions provoke our fears of actually manifesting these intentions and having to feel or experience life in a new way.
In order to overcome these fears, and allow the totality of our life to unfold fully, practice the Power of Knowing Technique of Feeling into the Core of the Feeling until it is resolved. Continue to ferret out patterns of energy - fears, or any others - that get in the way of you enjoying your life as you intend it, and become skillful at Feeling into the Core of the Energy of the Feeling to dissipate them.
Begin to take action in the direction of your intention
Once the conditioned responses are cleared, it becomes easy to base our actions on our inner knowing of what is right for us. This means that we then tend to have greater clarity of the distinction between our intentions and our conditioned responses. In this case, there is no need to force anything. Our actions feel effortless. This is because the laws of nature are now acting through us without conditioning getting in the way and creating resistance. When you experience action in this way, then you are in an experience of your true essential nature, which is Pure Awareness.
On the other hand, when we are conditioned to think that we are the doer, to identify ourselves as the action-taker, or when we are habituated to use our intellect to figure things out, then we obstruct the laws of nature from acting through us. In order to cultivate the experience of Pure Awareness, practice the exercise we call the GAP. Allow your awareness of Awareness itself to become more and more lively, so that the part of you that has been attached to the intellect or to being the doer can feel comfortable in allowing your Universality to direct you. It’s not separate from you; it’s what you really are! This is the very best basis for decisions and actions.
Properly manage thoughts that are contrary to your intention
The skill in managing thoughts that are contrary to your intention involves not giving them energy. We give energy to thoughts either by allowing ourselves to entertain them or by negating them, or criticizing ourselves for having them. We also tend to do this without being fully conscious that we are doing it.
Once you begin to notice the often subtle occurrence of sabotaging thoughts or speech, practice using The Power of Knowing Technique called Unplugging the Power Cord and Shifting to Neutral. Notice your language or your thought and unplug from it, shift into neutral. Pull the plug on the mind chatter. Simply notice and shift to neutral. Cultivate awareness so you can easily identify when to shift from the old habit of commenting on what you perceive in your immediate situation to the wonder of allowing your intentions to be your new reality. Be a conduit for your gratitude list to come into being.
Allow the Universe to Organize the Details
Once your intention is clear, unencumbered by conditioned responses, and you start to take action in the direction of fulfilling your intention, the situation inevitably changes and evolves. You have an idea of how it will happen but you must not stay attached to the specific way in which the manifestation of your desire is going to take place.
We need to clear out the habit of expectation and leave room for intentions to manifest in a way that is beyond what you could have imagined. You want to leave room for the universe to work its magic – to be able to stand in the wonder of uncertainty and allow intentions to show up however they show up. Unplugging the power cord and shifting to neutral helps dismantle expectation. In the silence that ensues, we then can feel what it is that created the expectation in the first place, and use the appropriate technique to dissipate it.
Upgrade for all Five Steps
What we’re really doing by learning these steps and practicing these techniques is we’re cultivating a new style of functioning in our physiology. We are upgrading our operating system to function as it was designed to function – to resonate with our pure, unique intentions and allow ourselves to enjoy them as they manifest fully and with ease. We are allowing ourselves to maintain that pure awareness experienced in the gap between thoughts all the time, even when we are dynamically, intensely focused on something. To have it remain a lively presence in your awareness – so that you can manifest your life as you intend it to be.
Intention statements to confirm that you are optimally intending:
- All of my intentions are optimally clear and empowered.
- My intentions are always in the highest and best interests of all.
- My intentions are free of all encumbrances.
- I always take the optimal actions to fulfill my intentions.
- I properly manage my thoughts and feelings so that my intentions are always free of conflicts.
- My intentions serve the purpose of Creation so that I am always an optimal agent of Nature.

It is fascinating because it is a way of being able to see very clearly where you have the tendency to be conditioned and where you have areas of how you function that you can count on.
