Here's the original notice about this call:
Most of you know Michael Stratford by now. He has shared his wisdom, humor and brillance with us on a couple of previous Community Calls. If you've missed the previous ones you can catch the recordings of them along with any of the other Community Calls that you might like to listen to on our web site here - Community Call Index
His previous two calls - The Art of Provocation and Breaking the Certainty Addiction - Living in the Wonder of Uncertainty, were fantastic.
Now Michael has agreed to grace us with four more f.r.e.e. Community Calls over the upcoming weeks. The topics and dates are:
The Irrelevance of Trust
June 25th 11AM Pacific
This call will occur on our bridge line this Thursday 404-920-6610
Access code - 374812#
Exposing the Myth of Accomplishment
June 29th 3PM Pacific
Some Truth about Kindness
July 7th 2PM Pacific
Freedom from the Tyranny of Goals
July 23 9AM Pacific
As usual, the titles are provacative and I'm sure that the calls will be as well. In fact Michael tells me that these 4 are part of his new Provocation Series: An ongoing exploration and challenge into the language constructs that are used by and affect the Game of Life. Make sure to mark your calendar so that you can participate in these calls. You won't want to miss any of them.
Normally I host the community calls but for some of them I'm going to be away giving presentations at angel investor groups letting them know about the opportunity to be involved in GLT. So on some of them Michael will be introducing himself.
As you probably know, Michael co-developed and co-teaches the Core Dynamics Coach Training Program with me. He's a real master of Core Dynamics Coaching and the Pure Awareness Techniques as well as a brilliant and entertaining speaker.
The Irrelevance of Trust -
Trust is an intellectually driven attempt to morph the emotional 'self' into feeling a sense of safety. As we have learned to live in the game called Life, we've noticed that it has some inherent risks. These risks make the game more compelling. And at the same time there's an energy that accompanies the risk. The possibility that our 'self' or something we're attached to and identified with, may not survive in some way, whether it be physiologically, emotionally, intellectually or spiritually. It calls on the idea that in order to thrive or even survive, we need to trust others, trust events, trust a process, or trust ourselves. This is not bad but not necessarily the most ideal of ways to be in the world. For after all, aren't we often betrayed by that which we trust? Come to the call for a possible upgrade of how to relate to the notion of safety.
This call will occur on our bridge line this Thursday, June 25th at 11:00 AM Pacific on our phone bridge line - 404-920-6610. Access code - 374812#. We may use the new webinar system for the other calls as it allows international access without long distance charges and has other great features.
Enjoy,
Tom Stone
