Here's the original notice about this call:
On April 24th at 5 PM Pacific Daylight Time, Tom Stone will have as his guest on the Great Life Technologies free community call, Dawson Church, author of The Genie in Your Genes and numerous other books.
Members of the GLT community will be particularly interested in this call and Dawson's book which is an indepth look at the science of Epigenetics and how the behavior of our genes and the resulting effects on our lives are changed by our beliefs, intentions and conditioning. Sign up below to join this teleclass. An auto-responder will be sent later with the bridge line and access code. We need to first see how big a bridge we will need by having you register for the call. It's totally free and toally fun and inspiring. Apparently Dawson is a really fun and entertaining presenter. So read the review of his book below and then register for the call.
Here's a review of Dawson's book -
For the last decade, psychiatrists, psychotherapists and doctors experimenting with the new field of Energy Psychology have been reporting anomalous cases of “miraculous” healing that defy the timelines of conventional medicine. Bleeding lacerations have healed before the eyes of onlookers. The emotional sting of severe childhood traumas like assault and rape has been removed—sometimes in a few minutes. Survivors of even such horrors such as Kosovo and Rwanda report emotional healing and a return to normal function. These phenomena are so far beyond the understanding of conventional science—as are many of the claims of Energy Psychology and Energy Medicine—that opponents of the field have dismissed it as “unscientific” or based on anecdote alone.
Intrigued by these stories, health writer Dawson Church, Ph.D., decided to investigate the scientific basis of such healings, and the role of consciousness in healing. The result is The Genie in Your Genes, the first book to summarize remarkable scientific studies that are revolutionizing the ways we think about the link between consciousness and health
The book focuses on a class of genes called Immediate Early Genes or IEGs. There are about 100 IEGs, and they are activated within a few seconds of a stimulus. They can be triggered by thoughts or emotions ("I loved that unexpected gift of roses Bill gave me" or "I'm so mad about what Uncle John said at the Christmas party") as well as outside events. IEGs turn on other genes that affect specific aspects of our immune system, such as the production of white blood cells that destroy attacking bacteria and viruses.
He explores the science behind the breakthroughs being achieved by therapists, doctors and lay people practicing Energy Psychology techniques. The Genie in Your Genes shows that there is a sound theoretical framework, based on credible experiments, for understanding these astonishing results, and predicts that these techniques will dramatically advance the fields of medicine and psychology in the coming decade.
Best of all, The Genie in Your Genes demonstrates that, by taking control of our consciousness using the tools developed by Energy Psychology pioneers, we can bypass years of therapy, as well as harmful drugs and invasive surgeries, to affect the expression of these genes by consciousness alone. Such conscious and continuous genetic engineering can relieve long-standing anxieties and neuroses; patients report cures from even serious conditions like cancer, heart disease, and autoimmune diseases.
Showcasing some 300 scientific studies, The Genie in Your Genes points to where the leading edge of science might take medicine and psychology in the next century.
